Hi NP

I once saw "perfect practice makes perfect" and I used to say it all the time to my daughter. For some people understanding it early on in their interest in life shows. I strongly believe in teaching your children that plus ourselves  default/wink , it is really hard to do if talent is missing though.

Good luck with your website, nice layout

A nice little Blues shuffle lick in A  There are some position shifts required, so take it slow.   The hook consists of a Major 3rd being played against the minor 3rd, very tasty.

Thanks for posting your licks, but can you include a sound file with them, that would help me and all of us  here out a lot to actually here how the lick is to sound

again thanks

This one is an off take of the first Chicago blues lick, notice the different strings in use. If you go with the down / up picking and mute the strings you'll get that rhythm going. On the last 3 notes , it is a triplet and use a pull off  on the second note.

Go slow like I did and with much practice that pull off will come smoothly, well at least it finally did for me.  I'm playing it 4 times, and there is a break between  bars, kind of a long break

hey guys I redone the placement of the notes, so sorry about making the mistake, this is the right placement for all the notes

enjoy

How long have you been playing?  It's  fun when you are tinkering and you get a little riff idea that you can follow to see where it goes!

Hi Instructor

Thanks for listening.
I've had a guitar on and off for many years, but play'n it , oh well, but since I started to record and post my clips , many people have said I've improved 100 fold. I can't play other peoples songs so I just write my own stuff, which I enjoy doing. My comfort zone is in writing lyrics though and not so much as a guitar player.  Any suggestions on how I should approach learning the guitar to play music, please tell me.  Thanks

Hi John

I like your idea. I really like the way that you experiment with the sounds you get. This sound seems different from all the others that I have heard despite the blues theme remaining!

Do you have intentions of developing this one any further or is it going to remain just a little jam?

Hi olly

It will just remain a little jam, kind of a mental exercise on letting my mind wonder musically  default/big_smile

This speech is tops.

I like how she said I will not talk about the wiki leaks and says they are the guilty ones  default/big_smile

This speech was so well crafted by the dept. of war psychology  dept. that it has got to go  down in history as the best speech ever.   I like how she say's "our foreign policy is of public record", well it sure it true now , if it wasn't in the past    default/mad

I like the 60's feel. Also I notice that you can color your notes with some pretty good rhythm patterns.  default/smile

So now, we all here can expect you to keep posting you music

Yeah that looks pretty straightforward. Do you read music or do you stick to the tabs?

I mostly read the tabs, but I can read music with no sharps or flats  so I think it is in just the key of C
