Why DON't you want to connect your guitar to your PC??
Reaper is a good DAW and free I would try that rather then your phone..it will give you deeper editing options......If you have the cash or know where to go on the internet Pro Tools 10 is even better and gives a cleaner recorded sound and now has video editing.....
You can get a good home studio set up and running for very little money these day's. The line six interface's are cheap and work very well plus there's plenty kicking about 2nd hand on E-Bay...

Recorded with Reaper using a Blackstar HT 20 Head's emulated output and more modeling effects then you can shack a stick at all sent to the computer via a Line Six UX2 Sound interface.........
That's an idea James, getting straight to my PC. However i would like to get the sound of my gear equipment.
even if i connect via preamp --> pc, i would miss power amp and speakers sound, i wouldn't mind however use VST effects.
