I gave it a go a few years back but I couldn't adapt to sitting in the saddle! It was just too sore for me. I tried everything, cycle shorts, new saddle, nothing worked for me. Before I moved down to England I cycled from my house in Glasgow to Loch Lomond and had to phone my wife to come and get me halfway back; I could go no further!!!
Wasn't for me.

Excellent stuff...
Definitely. What sort of stuff have you been writing?
Fair enough!
Have you decided what you want yet?
New guitar, new drum set, new studio . . . . have you come into a large inheritance of late?
No.
Only because I couldn't afford to!
Where do you do your busking?
Payday tomorrow!!! Woo hoo!

Are you a Rammstein fan too then?
Hi John and welcome
Yesterday - the Beatles; Blowin' in the Wind - Bob Dylan
THUNDER!! Classic stuff! "That's when love, walked in, through my door . . . "
You've never heard Rammstein? My God man, get yourself on youtube straight away. They sing in German but the music speaks volumes . . .
They had a top ten hit in the UK about 10 years ago with "Ich will". They were in Manchester in February but I couldn't go
I had to google image the album. I've seen them before but never played one. What is the sound like? Is that the kind that gives the real sort of "twang" noise, like in Bon Jonvi's "Blaze of Glory"?
That is an excellent point aussie, I never looked at it that way. It's almost as if an inability to accept that the world of music around us has changed to the point where our own songwriting is "old" and that is why we get fed up with it.
Rammstein's latest album . . . I've had it since Christmas but hadn't really listened to it, man I wasted seven months, it is awesome.
That's the thing though . . . there wouldn't be a market unless someone was willing to pay £100,000 for a guitar that doesn't play! (I'll sell him mine for £50,000)
I saw a '64 Telecaster for sale in a shop yesterday for £2000 (about 3500 australian bucks).
Would anyone consider paying that kind of money for it? Not that I'm in cahoots with the shop owner, I'm just trying to fathom why someone would want to pay that kind of money for a second-hand guitar. What makes them so special?
How many trade unionists does it take to change a lightbulb?
CHANGE!?!
That's an excellent point aussie. I suppose music that's in the charts affects our tastes too.
I can't really comment Ozzy, I seem to have lost my knack for songwriting years ago so I totally understand where you're coming from. I wrote loads of stuff as a teenager, some of which I still think is quite good, but I don't think I've actually written anything worthwhile in over ten years!
So, what's the solution lads?

his mother replies "Now now son you cant do both"!
I don't get it . . .
Had to listen to GnR (the best of) on my way in this morning. It made me feel quite nostalgic!
A horse walks into a bar. The bartender looks up and says "why the long face?"
I think part of the problem is that "Ozzy Osbourne" is now a brand name as much as anything else. It doesn't matter if the album is good or not, it will sell because it is Ozzy, so I suppose the incentive to produce anything that is actually any good is gone.
I have wondered if this isn't what sent Metallica downhill over the years . . . .
Ewww.
A piece of road and a piece of pavement are having a pint in the pub when a really rough looking piece of red tarmac walks in. The piece of road says to the piece of pavement, "Quick, drink up and let's go. I know him - he's a complete cyclepath."
Is the new Ozzy album any good. The last one was a bit dissappointing.
No, you're probably right, what a shame. Is Steven Adler still around? Come to think of it, are any of them still around except Axl and Slash?
