Floyd Rose Restring Trouble
Hi, anytime i restring and tune my custom guitar the B string ALWAYS comes straight off, ALL of the other strings are tuned correctly and so is the B String but it just pops Off. I'm Using Drop D Tunning if that makes any diffrence, Anyone know a fix? thanks

On the Floyd Rose trem, the string end sits in a channel and when you tighten the allan key head screw a square block pushes up against the string to keep it in place. If this square block is pitted or doesn't get enough pressure applied the string will come out. If the trem is old and you think it could do with some new parts, then these can be bought. I'm guessing as it's only the b string that is doing this, then the block or screw to that string is worn. You can take the block out with a pair of tweesers to see if it's worn.

its the the 6 screws that pass under the pitch adjusters and push the block clamping the de-balled string.
you can replace them with the ' drilled type ' i took mine out and drilled them on a lathe ( the length of the screw ) but i think
replacements would be a better option..it depends on your DIYing lilt
the string is then threaded through (like a strat) instead of being clamped...Much better and no mucking about with the string ball end...and it never comes out
you also need to pack the space left by the block so the string passes through unobstructed.this will be apparent when you load your first string
