I have not really noticed this lately until now. I knew something wasn't right. How can this be fixed? is it the nut?
My strings seem to be migrating south and i have no clue why.
not been near a radiator either. always laid on cushioned carpet in the music room.
its not the nut..its the alignment of the neck ( relative to the bridge )
slacken the screws that hold the neck on about 1/2 a turn
hold the guitar... pull the headstock up until the strings are
central relative to the fingerboard ( this will only be mm ) .. tighten up the
screws
in a nut shell:
with the git facing you make the body rigid and move the headstock slightly
to the left or right until the strings are centered
yeh nice one
the screws should be a flush fit with the holes on the body so the neck
can only sit in one place..the new screws are probably a smaller diameter
so the neck would have to be aligned before tightening
+the neck could drift if knocked etc
