Staticy Guitar Knobs

Hey guys i just bout a 94 Epiphone Riviera and the VOLUME KNOBS are a bit scratchy when i turn them....

Do i need to replace them or is there a way to clean them?

You could try silicon spray, you can buy it from Maplins. It's good for clearing dust etc.. Alternativley if the pots are old it might be that the solder joints have become 'dry'. If the spray doesn't do it, it may be worth re-soldering the connections.
