What Made You Start Playing Guitar?

As per the title, what inspired you to pick up the guitar in the first place? I started learning piano at a young age but always wanted something a bit more 'cool'!

For me it was hearing guitar solos in rock music when I was younger. I didn’t really understand how players made the guitar sound so expressive, but I knew I wanted to learn. Once I learned my first few chords, I was hooked.

I actually started because a friend bought a guitar and I didn’t want to be left out. I thought I’d lose interest after a few weeks, but learning songs I already loved made it addictive.
