Consistency matters more than total time. When I started setting small goals for each practice session instead of just playing randomly, I improved much faster.

I’ve always found shorter daily sessions work better than long occasional sessions. Even 20–30 minutes a day builds muscle memory faster than practising once or twice a week.

The best way to improve is to regularly practice. Even if you can just find ten minutes per day that this will vastly improve your playing. I think the sweet spot for newer players would be around 30 minutes per day.

This shorter practice period is far better than just having a single multi hour practice session a week.
