Struggling to Make Progress as a Beginner

I was given a guitar a month ago, and I was really excited to finally learn, but I feel like I'm not making any progress. I can barely play three chords, and I can't even play the intro of easy songs. Also, sometimes when I try to tune the guitar, the tuner detects that I'm playing a different string, which frustrates me even more. I'm starting to think this isn't for me, which makes me sad.
