Was anyone else surprised at how many songs are so simple?

I just learned easy to fall in love by Olivia Dean which is what prompted this post, the song was so simple but when I listen to the song imo it sounds like a masterpiece to me. I’ve felt that was about a few of my favorite songs and I think it’s made me like them more. I think it’s something about how these songs can use such “basic” chords/structures/etc but still be so good. That was pretty much it just a little late night rant.
