Hey folks, I've been jamming with a few mates recently, and it got me thinking about the role of the guitar in a band compared to other instruments. I play mostly rhythm, but sometimes I find myself wanting to step into more melodic lines or solos. Do you think the guitar is more versatile than, say, a bass or keyboard in a band setting?
