Long time guitar player, albeit a bit intermittently, with a herd of a guitars (last count 15). Started playing at 13 and 70 now. done a bit of pub n club gigging years ago, just play for fun now.

Sadly carpal tunnel has got me so not playing much at the moment (left hand) but having surgery on the 4th of Nov.

Bit of an artist, watercolours and oils, home brewer and long time biker ( still have 2 ).

Mainly an electric player, blues, jazz fusion, rock but do have a couple of acoustics.... and 2 violins but don't ask me how well I got on with them !

So there's my intro....

Hi and welcome to the forum

I have been a similar off and on player myself but also a collector of guitars that I think I am going to play but ultimately end up not doing!

Do you think the operation on your hand will fully restore the ability to play properly or is it a case of waiting and seeing?

Will be wait and see as the nerve has been compressed a long time. It may well not be 100% recovery but at least will improve it.
