Hey everyone, I've been playing guitar for a few years now and I’m starting to wonder how to define my identity as a guitarist. I’ve dabbled in a bit of everything—blues, rock, and even some metal—but I feel like I’m at a crossroads. Some days I want to just shred like a madman, and other days, I find myself drawn to the emotional storytelling of acoustic songs.
How did you guys figure out what kind of guitarist you wanted to be? Did it come naturally over time, or did you have to make a conscious choice? I’m also curious about how your identity has evolved as you’ve progressed. Any stories or advice would be great!

Finding My Identity as a Guitarist
Hey Samson, it can be tough trying to pin down your style. I think experimenting with different genres is a great way to discover what resonates with you.

Finding My Identity as a Guitarist
I was in the same boat a few years back. I started off mainly with rock and then got into blues. It just sort of happened over time for me. Now, I find I enjoy mixing styles, which keeps it interesting!
