I think for me, it was a childhood dream to have a Fender guitar. Well I think at the age of 39 my dream came true. The Fender I bought has that childhood memory of the "Fender magic tone" as I rememebered as a child.
My acoustic, it was the beautiful wood/finish that kept my eye on the guitar until I saved up enough money to buy it. I've seen guitars in the states costing up to $800 for the type of wood and about the same tone, but this one is made in Indonesia and they are famous for its wood finishes there. And I felt it was a bargain at the price they were asking for. I'm very happy with it and it sounds wonderful with a Dean Markley "pro-mag" pickup in it.

my lyrics, my guitar and my imagination
Each of my guitars has a story to it. My acoustic was borrowed from my friend Greg about ten years ago. I don't think he remembers. My classical is actually my wife's, it came to her from her great aunt who had it for years - neither could play so I've claimed it by default. My acoustic-electric, which is the guitar of choice these days, was a 30th birthday present from my wife and my electric was a Christmas present about 6 or 7 years ago.
