Hardest aspect to learn

Post by Olly »

What kind of things did you/do you find the most difficult with playing guitar?

When I was learning I struggled with using my pinky for quite a while - that took ages to retrain myself after years of playing without it. Now I am pretty ok with it.

Nowadays the main reason that I cannot play something is the ability to correctly phrase when playing at any speed. I think this is a lifelong issue to try and overcome for me!

Timing with out a doubt.

I can play the solo to You Shook Me All Night long, but I seem to play it faster then Angus.

Yes timing is a very hard part to get, especially as a beginner.

I think the hardest thing was patience :)).

The ability to take your time so that you can evolve altogether without having any gaps in your technique
