New Classical Guitar

I have just bought a classical guitar. It is my first ever.

It looks like it is made by "Miguel Angel S.L" I have no idea on its age or quality.

When I got it there was the top E missing and the other strings were in terrible condition. I bought some new strings but unfortunately I completely messed up putting them on and the top E now keeps slipping - of course I stupidly cut the string before realising this so now I need a new E! I suspect I may have the same issue with the B and G also!

I have also recently got my Ibanez JS1000 which on the three times I have got to play it, I have really enjoyed it so review coming soon!...

This looks like a fairly good quality guitar, I don't know about this particular maker, but the average second hand price online is around the £120-£150,

Nylon strings need to to pass through the tuning peg twice that will stop any slippage,

Thanks Alun - yes I found this does the job and I have just managed to "bodge" the current set I have so that it isn't slipping now! Hopefully it will be ok when I take it up to being in tune and the strings are fully stretched.

These nylon strings take a lot longer to settle in tune that steel!

At the expense of sounding dim, whats the difference between a normal acoustic and a classical acoustic?

Classical guitars use nylon strings and tend to have a wider neck. Not too sure on other differences!

Nylon strings, no truss rod, different body shape and neck profile / width. What Im perplexed about is whats the difference between a classical and a flemenco guitar. Somebody asked in my shop the other day and it was pretty embarrasing

The flamenco guitar is built to be lighter by way of the internal bracing, and would have a cedar top which is softer and allows higher playing volumes, (to be heard above the flamenco dancers shoes) these tops actually wear through with the constant tapping of the player, they also set up with a far lower action than a classical guitar,

Hey, the guitar looks nice. The quality seems to be much better. I am wondering that why slipping problem arised. Just to get the knowledge, Can I know about its cost?

The slipping issue was because I had not double tied the strings - something I know for future. The nylon strings are very slippy so when tensioned can easily untie themselves!
