Recomend a guitar

Post by Novice 1 »

Hello everyone, I'm new here and new to the guitar as well. I now have an cheap Washburn guitar that i'm learning on, but it don't produce the tones that I like, since playing a Les Paul made by Epiphone. I was wondering if anyone out there knows of a similar brand name that will produce the tones of the Les Paul at a price that won't break the bank. Since being here I have seen numerous brands mentioned that I didn't know existed. Let me know what brands you have that sound similar to a Les Paul? Thanks

Get an ESP LTD EC series that fits your budget. In my opinion one of the best is the 401 VF with Seymour Duncan JB/59, but that might be a bit high for starting out. Maybe an EC 100 on up will fit the bill well. That 401 will flat out smoke any LP within 1000 dollars of it.

I have an ESP MH it is a great guitar. The thing is they are beefy and enjoy plenty of gain but all in all it smokes a strat in every department.

I have a maple top which makes it look so cool.
