Trading my High Action guitar for a nice playable Guitar

Post by LMarie »

Hi Everyone,

I'm looking for a bit of advice. I bought the wrong guitar a few years ago. I have a Yamaha Acoustic Electric APX 4A, which I have been learning from, but it has really high action.

When I bought this I knew nothing about Action and of course the shop didn't tell me, therefore my fingers have been through hell trying to learn from this guitar.

I now want to trade this is in for either an acoustic-electric or an acoustic low action guitar that I can play at open mic nights. I'm still learning but more advanced than a beginner, I can strum out a good tune and know a few bar chords.

One shop has offered me a Crafter in exchange, or an Ashton D25 but I think this may be better for beginners?

Anyone know anything about the Crafter? Or any other guitar you think might be suitable?

Thank you,

Lisa

It might be worth considering taking your guitar to get the action lowered which should be able to be done?

Something to consider-

I don't know much about the crafter but perhaps someone else can help

I have considered that and I will look into it but it has to be taken apart and sanded down, as my model is different, therefore was looking at all options....
