Stringing a classical guitar
Stringing a classical guitar
My wife recently inherited a beautiful classical guitar which is badly in need of new strings. Thing is, I've never restrung a classical guitar and it looks quite complicated and very different from stringing an acoustic. Can anyone offer any advice?
Basic principle of restringing a classical guitar is that the strings are tied at the bridge end by placing the string through the top of the bridge and then looped so that they do not slip. Also try tying the string at the headstock end so that it is re-inforced by winding it under itself so that again it does not slip. There is alot of trial and error involved - for more info try google.

Hope it helps.
