New GnR Album

Post by Olly »

So the long awaited Chinese Democracy is finally here.

I have my copy and I have mixed feelings on it. Some of the songs are starting to grow more on me now I have listened to a it a few times though it's certainly no another appetite for destruction.

I think the guitaring is a little bit of a let down - Slash is missed.

What are your opinions on it?

I dunno - I haven't heard it yet. My wife has done that whole "Don't buy yourself the new GnR album, let's just see what santa brings wink wink" and you have to pretend to be happy with that.

That said, I'm very apprehensive about listening to the new "Guns n Roses" album - can they really be "Guns n Roses" without Slash? I mean, he and Axl together were what made GnR so distinct.

Yep I agree - I like Velvet Revolver and I like the new Gnr - both have something missing.

I hear a industrial influence in this new stuff.

Thanks,
