Struggling with chord changes - where to focus?

Post by Chrisguitar »

I’m one month into learning guitar. I’ve been playing on an acoustic guitar and following Justin Guitar’s course and am currently on module 4.

I’m struggling with my chord changes a little bit and think it might be easier if I knew where I should be focusing instead of looking back and fourth from the fret board to where I’m strumming to see that I’m strumming the right strings.

Where should I be mostly focusing on at this stage?

Experiment with different practice techniques to see what works best for you. Whether it's closing your eyes, using a mirror, or focusing on specific chord progressions, find what helps you build that muscle memory.

Keep practicing and be patient with yourself. Muscle memory takes time to develop, but eventually, you will find that you don't need to look at your hands as much. Focus on consistency and technique.
