Hey folks,
I’ve been on the hunt for a new amp and I’m torn between going for a solid state model or sticking with the classic valve amps I’ve always heard about. I mostly play at home, but I’m also looking to do some small gigs. I know valves are often praised for their warm tone, but I’ve heard solid state can be more reliable and versatile, especially for different styles.
Can anyone share their experiences? When would you pick a solid state over a valve amp? Are there specific scenarios where one just shines over the other? Any insights would be really appreciated before I splurge on something.
