PU noise?

Post by polyal »

I get loads of ' noise ' when trying to record my strat ( with sustain/distortion )..thinking of
modding to a humbucker......is there a fix or do i get the butchers knife out ??

typical recording envir. is face on with a computer di'd into a mixer via a git processor

there is no noise using a git with a humbucker

It may just be your input level is set to high, try turning your guitar volume up, and input level down,
I didn't get where I am today,
by being somewhere else.

thanks for the i/p
git volume is full up..it seems like a proximity thing..if i back off or hold the git in an unplayable
position it improves the s/n...but ive been spoiled now by the quietness of the ' humbucker '
trouble is i like recording with the strat
