That's one of the advantages of living in USA or UK cos most of the bands do concerts there. I only get to watch shows if they visit here. Vertical Horizon just had a concert here 2 days ago. Wish I was able to watch it.

Oh really? That is really annoying if you try to learn from incorrect tabs. You're right best thing is to listen to the song and feel the rhythm and learn from it.
Well, if you know someone who can teach you then I guess that's easier.

I agree, we can't really tell who the best guitarist is since there a lot of guitarists of different styles. To name a few of the legendary strummers, Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Van Halen, Joe Satriani.. and this list could go on forever as there are a lot of them who play well.

True, my fingers hurt a lot when I tried to learn playing the guitar. That's also one of the reasons why I didn't learn much. I remember my brothers would lose their patience if I ask them to teach me. LOL! I even broke one of their acoustic guitars because I accidentally dropped it on the floor.

Hello everyone! I am from Manila, Philippines and I grew up with brothers who love playing the guitars. I'm not actually a good guitar player but I know the basics. We have 3 electric guitars at home and 1 acoustic. I don't know about my brothers maybe they're trying to start their own band.
I love listening to Santana's Smooth and The Knack's My Sharona. Well, I hope to meet more guitar enthusiasts here and learn tips and tricks from them.
