2 no1's
use these at your xmas bash ...............you'll never be forgotten
thanks for that...sorry for the aggro
rock on♪♪
can you post some more of your songs that lean on production
rather than ' melody lyric '...if poss....you're a singer song writer ...im a " producer "
i write a backing then get a vocal/melody added after-->by a third party
does this make sense to you..have you ever done this
i can't write a lyric ..save my life
all musicians are like fingerprints....unique and cant be copied ( not 100% )
so you are who you are .... if you can't play a clapton riff properly..be sure
100% certain he cant play one of your riffs properly...so be yourself
if you're covering a song play it in your style ..dont worry if you can't get it note perfect
just try to keep the same groove /feeling...................then one day someone will try to copy you
and we'll give them the same advice
neck to be manufactured in the "D" shape.
whats the d shape ...is that a thicker neck?????
which band ( known ) do you hate the most ( musically )
for me ....baby shambles ...or is it pete whatsisname and not the band
can somebody post a link to a good track that the've done
hi cogs
i know what you mean ...ive only got 3 on mine ..they're all full up
have you tried googling it

what a fantastic git is this the same as yours
i dont think this link is working
but theres stuff on youtube about it
before you start practising set up your metronome to the required tempo
http://www.metronomeonline.com/
hi olly welcome have you spoken to olly yet
polyal
Vocals were predictable, the mix was of here and here, the song topics been done a million times over and theres nothing new here, it sounds too much like so and so, and I hate that, the guitars were too trebly and hurt my ears, and clashed with the ride and high hat
if this is a criticism ...id probably say ..that just your opinion ..which you are entitled to
but im not changing it cause thats how i want it...idont like well separated mixes ..they sound plastic
lets change criticism to opinion then i would agree with what you are trying to get across with this thread
the point about paul mccartney is.. i dont want people criticising me unless they are 100% perfect
and nobody is not even sir paul mccartney..ive heard unpublished tracks of his that would burn your
ears ( in my opinion )
who has the right or ability to criticise? ...opinion is different matter
i dont mind peoples opinions..i welcome them...because thats what they are
to criticise is absolute and nobody is that good to criticise or am i taking the meaning out of context
its not a solution just a temp fix
it seems the message is USE A METRONOME♪♪♪♪

Loads of the white stuff here
or more important when is the price of a pint going to be sensible
now at £3 in my local....shame on the nob head politicians
dont use a compressor ...use a limiter to control the ' overs '
"mike technique"( yawn ) is the thing...if your going to SHOUT back off ....if its a whisper move in
logical eh!
watch out for proximity ( nearer= more bass ) so for normal busy pop/rock tracks roll off the bass
ps you can use a compressor but vv liberally
if i said to paul mccartney ...hey paul what do you think of my song ..and he said 'hi al ..long time no see
but i think its a pile of shite...i,d say thanks paul but not as much a pile of shite as half the stuff that you've written ...so whats the plot about criticism ..its a shambles..self indulgent..patronising. nobody with any intelligence gives a toss ( shouldn't ) about it...stick to opinions ..its innocuous
but even opinions sometimes should be kept to oneself...ermmm!!
i was going to buy a humbucker for my strat...because of the induced noise esp
when using distortion / sustain etc ie pumping the volume (and induced noise)
but if you use the position on the pickup selector that selects 1+2 or 2+3 the noise
disappears because the pickups are out of phase thus cancelling the noise ( although not 100 % )
this is the basic principle of a dual coil humbucker
to maintain the integrity of the sound of the treble and bass pickups ( although not 100% )
adjust the bass and treble pickups( 1&3 )as near to the strings as pos ....and the centre pu
as far away as pos...you are reduced to 2 pu 's ( bass & treb ) but there's far less noise
in a live band situation this probably isn't an issue ... but when recording ..no noise is a must
definitely : i use speed trainer pro....its an excellent prog and very affordable.. a must for
any git player that wants to improve his speed and esp for students as pointed out by instructor
http://www.guitarspeed.com/
this type of incremental speed up training definitely works and the differences can
be experienced day by day
the cubase bit is for warmup before recording etc but still very useful
to add to the metronome tip
if you are a cubase user ( or any sequence user )
open a blank project
start the tempo @ say 120 and over the 40 bars ramp it up to say 180 bpm in the tempo track
turn the metronome on
start your sequencer ...over the next 40 bars it will speed up gradually from 120 to 180 as you practice
you can set this up to suit what you're practicing and increase the tempos as you get faster
you can get speed training progs that work on the same principle but are a bit more sophisticated
every serious musician should use a metronome when practicing..bottom line
my favourite summer song is adagoo by black lace in any key thats above human hearing
and my favourite xmas song is all i want for xmas is my 2 front teeth...if i cant have kylie minogue
or a top of the range gibson ( byrdland if poss )
i thought it aught to be a new thread..its gone off at a tangent to the original post
can you cut ( copy ) and paste to this thread..you make some interesting points
i think i read it somewhere that the original strats were made on production lines using
immigrant workers
i have a japanese strat which i use for gigs and recording...i am led to believe they are quite sort after?
whats the difference between strats made on different continents ( disregarding price )
i thought the american strats ( usa ) were the bees knees...i bet in a dark room no one could tell
a 'dogs bollx' strat from one made in any 4th world country if it was set up right
and in my opinion things dont sound any better or worse they just sound different
else nobody would ever play a banjo
