Incase you guy's were wondering. Redno5 was the car my boyhood F1 hero drove. Nigel Mansell, virtually all his cars were numbered 5 in red!!

Getting them from the usual sites - Ultimate guitar, Chordie, etc. I just find that quite often from verse to chorus they go off key!

I have been looking at quite a few tabbed fav songs of mine and none of them are correct the whole way through. Is this down to multi layered guitar recording or different tuning than standard? I can't figure it out!! Going to try and get a few of my fav licks figured out next! If nothing else it's good practice i suppose! default/wink

Lol cant beat a good pint, GUINESS for me default/smile

Being from the Green Island I am obviously biased. My late Father used to work for Guinness up in Belfast, so I had a very emotional trip to the Dublin Bewry last year just after his death. My wife contacted Guiness shortly sfter our visit to say how much we enjoyed ourselves and to tell them about my dad. (He retired back in the 80's). To our surprise they replied with an invite to come back and have a private tour of the archives! I was very touched. Unfortuntely I have not had a chance to return but hopefully soon.

I used to play Bass in a band which i found it resonably easy (Once I found the groove), granted 15 years away from playing didn't help, but electric git playing is coming along faster than I thought. I find myself listening to songs (ex. Nutbush City Limit), which I heard on the radio today and straight away was analysing it to see if i could play it!!!
Oh how the mind works!!!

And be sure to grab the backing track whilst you still can...

I am still amazed that this site has remained here for so long and has not been taken down yet as I am certain that not all these tracks cannot be legally put up there.

That's a pretty cool site. Thanx for that

Layla and Tie your mother down sound good!!
Cheers

Spent most of my free time this weekend playing and having a ball. Trying out riffs to some of my fav songs. Most of them sound fine until you try to play along to the original version and find out thats its quite a bit out, but i'm working away at them.
Pour some sugar on me & Armegeddon it (Def Leppard)
Come with me (Page & P Diddy)
Stargazer & Since you been gone (Rainbow)
Beat it (MJ)

Man these barre chords are a hell of a lot easier than my old acoustic!!
Any suggestions for easy playable songs?

You have a good guitar there, Brilliant in fact for the money, I bought one for my eldest son, when they first came out, it was about £160 then,  I was proper impressed, brilliant action, and sound, and the finish was perfect. default/smile will last forever and probably become collectable in the future. A good choice.

Cheers Alun.

I have to go and be sociable now so will have to set the guitar down for a while!!  default/roll

It's finally here. Fender Squire Affinity in Blue, 15w frontman amp. Effing delighted. Great sound, lovely action, chuffed. Already played it for about 3 hours and fingers just starting to get a bit sore now. As my wife has already said "thank goodness for headphones"!!

I have an Aux in for my Ipod so anything goes on that. But the cd compartment has Pet Sounds by the Beach Boys in it. Bring on the summer !!

I have found TABS4ACOUSTIC & CHORDIE VERY GOOD. May have to dig through a few versions of each song on Ultimate Guitar to find one that suits but its good as well.
