i've actually found a 2x12 Tweed Cabinet still being built, but i'm confident there has to be a 1x12 tweed cabinet built at some point in time. the pain from the injuries is pretty horrifying most days BUT i get some really good pain meds................too bad this isnt a state that medical marijuana is legal. i can legally carry a concealed weapon and i have a class II license enabling me to own machine guns and projectile launchers but no medical weed LOL.

yep........it happened at the same time i broke my neck and back. i got thrown from a horse and i landed on my head..........hard.............really hard. fractured 3 vertabra in my neck and landing so hard caused a mild frontal lobe injury, i then got trampled by a horse fracturing 4 vertabra in my back. i had to crawl back to the barn, about 1/8 mile. had to catch the horse and put him in a stall so his dumb ass didnt get hit by a car, then i drove a mile up the road so i could get cellphone service to call an ambulance. we idnt even realize for a couple of hours the lumbar vertabra was fractured because it didnt hurt much more than the usual bad back pain i always had. this happened 5 years ago...........13 days from today. not paralyzed thank goodness and most days i'm glad i lived through the fall, the doc told me that as hard as i hit the ground i shouldnt have lived let alone be able to walk..................well more a hobble than a walk
FINALLY my disability will have been resolved within 4 or 5 more weeks..........wow, only 62 months to get my disability from all those fractured vertabra.

I have a new Fender Tweed Blues Deluxe 1x12 combo amplifier and i'm wondering if anyone can tell me if they ever built a 1x12 cabinet to match it? it wont stop me from buying an extension cabinet if i cant get one that matches the tweed but i would much rather have a matching cabinet if i can.

if any friends ask i'll certainly send them this way. i'm a pretty mellow easy going guy usually, unless someone is deliberately trying to piss me off.................and it takes ALOT to do that. and when i DO get aggravated i keep it out of the public discussions.

guitarforums dot com. things went well for a couple of years then one of the moderators...........possibly he was even the founder (i wont mention names under any circumstances) had a brain fart of some sort. i asked him to put a month long ban on me (i knew i wouldnt stay away given a choice, i was addicted) when the time came...........no release of the ban............no answer to my email so i figured maybe he wasnt getting it since i was banned so i just used my business email address to start a new account. he then went off his little red wagon permanently banning me, berating me in public and in emails. it was a nice community and great people though i was told that immediately after the incident involving my banning, it all went to hell and none of the long time regulars are using it anymore. i had the reputation of making ome of the craziest trades to get equipment and i loved the entertainment everyone got out of them.

I got one, brand new, on Friday and this is, without a doubt the best sounding amplifier i've ever owned. even better than the 1962 Fender Bandmaster with it's original 2x10 cabinet, better than one of my current amplifiers a Crate V50 2x12 Palomino. it has nice clean, clear.............almost bell-like ringing cleans, then it breaks up a little bit, nice and warm sounding tube breakup. I cannot imagine any tubes soudning better than the factory Groove Tubes and the factory speaker! with my Classic Vibe 50's Telecaster i have found EXACTLY the sound i wanted, the Keith Richards tone from the early Stones (Brian Jones Era) i ended up staying up all night Friday night/Saturday morning playing the Telecaster and the Peavey T-60 through it. i finally crashed at around 2 on Saturday afternoon. i DO love the smell of a brand new tube amplifier being broken in.
in other words folks? you couldnt do much better than spending the 749.99 you will on this amplifier!

Peavey T series electrics, Squier Classic Vibe 50's or 60's Stratocasters, Mexican Strats, Epiphone Wilshire as long as it has coil split capabilities or any set neck Epi Les Paul. cash, is ok but i'd really rather trade. i'd be willing to meet at either the Charlotte NC Guitar Center or the Greenville Guitar Center.

I owned a 62 bandmaster head and 2x10 cabinet back in the early-late 80's and until this past friday, it was the best sounding amplifier i'd ever owned, right up until i got a nice new Fender Tweed Blues Deluxe Re-Issue. I am just blown away at how bright and clean it sounds. i cant wait until it's all broken in to see how much better it is. the clean tones are just so crystal clear and bright but it still has sufficient mid and low end punch. i may even sell or trade out my Crate 2x12 V50 Palomino once the fender breaks in, i wont need 2 hugely loud and clean amplifiers. just a week ago i swore i'd never give up that Crate but the Fender..............wow. i now have the sound that Keith Richards did back in the Stones' early days with my Classic Vibe 50's Telecaster and this Fender.
so any other Blues Deluxe or Crate Palomino owners here?

thanks james!................i dig your avatar by the way. as Elecsluther will tell you all, i was the king of swapping and trading gear.............trading off some pretty odd stuff and sometimes services since before fracturing several vertabra i owned and ran a vintage european and british motorcycle repair, rebuild, customization shop. i got my Washburn flattop in exchange for machining and welding up some custom motor mounts..........we put the entire drivetrain from a Grand National Buick into an Isuzu pickup with my custom designed and machined mounts.

this is NOT the 6LG6 based V50 that is notorious for burning up the switchable power supply PCB, this V50 Palomino has EL84's in the power section and 3 12ax7's in the pre-amp. this amplifier was retubed right before i got it in october and it sounds absolutely phenominal it gets LOUD as hell and can stay clean in channel 1, and it breaks up nicely when the gain knob is cranked over in the 2nd channel. there are seperate reverb control knobs for each channel. no tears or bad scuffs in the cream colored tolex, clear coated brass accents and corners, not chrome. i recently put the facvtory casters in. this will include the factory owners manual. i am looking to trade rather than sell if possible, for an MiM strat in good shape, AN AApiphone Wilshire, the model or color doesnt matters as long as it has the coil tapping capability or an Epiphone 1956 Goldtop re-issue with the P-90's.
I'm in Columbia SC and i would rather not ship this amplifier. i can drive to charlotte, augusta sc, Charleston SC, Greenville SC anyplace within 2 hours of where i live in Columbia. if you would be willing to meet me halfway in between our towns if you're in the area would be very cool. please message me for my email address and telephone number

i'm a new member from Columbia South Carolina. a friend sent me to this forum after i've been bouncing from forum to forum. I've got pretty eclectic tastes in music from loving bagpipe music all the way to stuff like DRI and Killdozer. i play guitar, banjo, mandolin and i played the bagpipes until getting pneumonia late last year (hoping to be able to play again someday soon. anyone that knows me from anothet Guitar Forum knows i acquire most of my gear by swapping and trading, sometimes for really odd stuff like motorcycle parts (the last big trade i did i got a Crate V50 2x12 Palomino in exchange for welding and shaping the combustion chambers and ports in a set of single port air cooled VW heads for a friend) i've been playing off and on for 35 years. i got back into playing after an 8 year abscence when i broke my neck and back and i had loads of time to sit and either stare at the walls or watch television so i got a cheap Dean electric on sale for 59 dollars and i just went on from there. i dont think i've loved playing and collecting this much EVER. i've gotten into different kinds of amplifiers and learning about the equipment like i never had before. i play mostly bluegrass, 70's and 80's punk and some classic rock and blues. in addition to guitars i'm a major league motorhead, vintage BMW motorcycles and 70's Corvettes especially. i dont ride motorcycles anymore but i AM getting ready to restore a 1976 stingray in the next few months.
