Hope so. I really like the style and design of this type of guitar so I am hoping it is the start of a great new friendship!

Well this could be in teh announcement category but I thought I would just share with you that I just bought a JS1000 off eBay just a few minutes ago.

I have wanted one for years and recently I decided if I saw one for a good price I would just get it. Today it happened!

This is the Joe Satriani signature Ibanez model in pearl black.

Hopefully I will have it by the end of the week so I will let you know how it is!

If you can, upload a little audio clip of what you are doing so we can get a better idea

Glad to hear it is going well.

Yes a grand would certainly get you something pretty amazing! Are you looking for only new or will you consider second hand?

Combo or head + cab?

I thought the pod was a pedal rather than an amp?

Personally I would prefer a traditional amp and run pedals through that. I can see little value to having it all combined in the amp.

I have a pod xt live pedal baord which I have onlyplayed with one or twice. The sounds were pretty good but it looks like these new lines of pedals coming out could be pretty interesting

Ok good idea James

I need to be around here more often as well!

How is life treating you at the moment?

I hadn't heard of this before but it does look like a pretty cool idea!

Though James, yes your purest mate would not approve in the slightest!

That rabbit is cool! Does it just go where it pleases all the time or do you have some kind of cage it goes into?

Hi and welcome to the forum!

Do you play the guitar? And what music are you into?

I did spend quite a lot of time trying to learn how to trade the markets.

Despite a lot of time and effort I had to give it up. This was because I did not have enough time to dedicate to it and also enough money to actually start correctly.

It is really interesting though and people can make (or likely lose) a lot!

Hi John

Click the "add image to post" browse to it on your computer and just follow the steps.

It should be simple enough but let me know if you can't do it for any reason!

Hi John, unfortunately it will not be a noticeable difference just a change of server!

I am pushing the button today so posting will be disabled for up to 24 hours. If you can post then you are seeing the new server!

Hi guys

I hope is all well with everyone.

I appreciate things have gone a bit quiet around here for a while. I will do my best to get things going again as soon as I have a little more time.

I am moving servers and whilst I hope that there will be zero downtime, there will be some point over around a 24 hour period where some people will see the old version of the site and some the new. So if you do post and it disappears, this will be why.

I will disable posting on the old version so if you see this, then just check back a few hours later and the chances are, you will see the new site.

I will update the thread when I am about to push the button then it can be as long as 48 hours before you will be guaranteed to see only the new site.

Thanks!

Hi and welcome!

Excellent! I always went through stages of having lessons for a while then going my own way for a while. It is hard to find a really good guitar teacher that really works on making your playing better!

Let us know how you get on!

Ah perhaps you got the MP3 issue sussed!

Nice to hear your playing again John

I must say I have not picked up my guitar even once in over two months - how bad is that!

Can you elaborate further on what stage you get to?

Do you see the mp3 link once you have uploaded or do you not get that far?

Clearly you are doing you research James though I cannot advise you.

Would be great to hear when you make your decision.

Why the certainty with the tubescreamer? I have never used one myself

Yes it was pretty good. I certainly wouldn't have enjoyed it as much if it was raining - it would have been a mud bath!

Congrats James!

5 days is a loonnnggg labour!

Just got back from the High Voltage festival.

Originally I booked tickets to go there to see Thunder on the Sunday. Then Slash was announced for Saturday so I went the whole way and went both days.

It was great. Sat down in the sun watching a load of bands, drinking a lot of various alcoholic beverages and eating a variety of unhealthy food!

Slash was great though it wasn't really just him, the singer Myles Kennedy did a great job as did the rest of the band. There were songs from Slash's Snakepit and GnR as well as some from his new album.

Then on Sunday we watched Thunder who did a great performance, although it was only 50 minutes or so which was a shame as there were only a few songs.

Queued up for the meet and greet after. Was a pleasure to meet those guys!

All in all, apart from driving through central London which I did not enjoy, it was a thoroughly good weekend! Now time for a detox!

Looks really smart James.

So has this taken place as your favourite guitar now?
