I'm not sure but is this not the link to delete the file you uploaded rather than the one to download it - I haven't clicked it in case!

or do I just put it up here again

It will be rejected by the server if it is a wav file - also I would assume it will be too big to send via email as generally wav files are pretty  large in size - you could look to uploading it to somewhere like here:

http://www.sendspace.com

And that will then provide a link for James to download it!

Hope that helps!

You must be well on your way with getting a whole album together by now - have you any other finished songs yet?

Yep really nice James. Tone sounds lovely - what amp was this through or was it an amp sim?

Must be a really great feeling to play something that you have made yourself and get that lovely tone!

Guitar sounds lovely! And the singing is fine - nothing wrong with that at all!

Nice one Alun - look forward to hearing some more of this guitar along with vocals!

Nylon strings need to to pass through the tuning peg twice that will stop any slippage,

Thanks Alun - yes I found this does the job and I have just managed to "bodge" the current set I have so that it isn't slipping now! Hopefully it will be ok when I take it up to being in tune and the strings are fully stretched.

These nylon strings take a lot longer to settle in tune that steel!

I have just bought a classical guitar. It is my first ever.

It looks like it is made by "Miguel Angel S.L" I have no idea on its age or quality.

When I got it there was the top E missing and the other strings were in terrible condition. I bought some new strings but unfortunately I completely messed up putting them on and the top E now keeps slipping - of course I stupidly cut the string before realising this so now I need a new E! I suspect I may have the same issue with the B and G also!

I have also recently got my Ibanez JS1000 which on the three times I have got to play it, I have really enjoyed it so review coming soon!...

Hi Alun

Looks great and great to see you back on the forum.

Is this just acoustic or semi acoustic? I will look forward to hearing how it sounds on your recordings!  default/big_smile

I think I may have 12s on my acoustic - what gauge would you previously have used? I bet the tone of those thicker strings is great sounding?

I have just got a new guitar but I will start a new thread on that!

Go quickly buy something else?

That is pretty cool James. So basically you are getting a custom made Vox AC30 with original spec for pretty much nothing?

This is crazy but also spam as it has been posted on hundreds of forums.

Thanks - makes sense. I will check the manual - before I had no idea what I was even looking for.

Thanks James

This was actually quite helpful

I had to adjust the truss rod in the end. I had never done this before but it seemed relatively straight forward.

I held down the first fret, then the last fret and checked the gap at 12th fret. Initially there was zero gap so I adjusted unti I had a couple of mm max. Then I adjusted the action and bridge and it works well.

I will get a reveiw done after I have had a little more time to playaround with it but so far so good!

I recently hooked up my new digital piano and played about with MIDI. The piano has only a few sounds other than piano on it and I created a track with a drum beat and piano riff, then I added strings and choir voice and I was pretty pleased with the loop to jam over.

I saved the project and today when I come back to it, it no longer plays the separate voices - i.e the strings and choir and these are interpreted as though they are all piano.

I can't image it has anything to do with cubase as nothing has changed but I'm not sure why it would have worked then not, and I have no idea how to get it back to working again.

Any clues?

It is the JS1000

I am using 9-42 strings at the moment.

I am finding I have quite a lot of fret buzz at an action that I would not seem as too low hence I though the truss may be an issue!

I will certainly review it though haven't even plugged it in yet! Just about to though!

Just got my new guitar and it badly needs setting up. One thing I hadn't really considered before is the optimum height from pickup to string. Are there any rules to work to?

Also I think the truss rod needs adjusting on this. Any tips on doing this?
