Hey guys!
happy new year to you all
I have not really noticed this lately until now. I knew something wasn't right. How can this be fixed? is it the nut?
My strings seem to be migrating south and i have no clue why.
not been near a radiator either. always laid on cushioned carpet in the music room.
Thanks guys! May need to see my local tech

Topic: Biyang OD-8 overdrive/tube screamer (0 replies, posted in Effects)
Hi again all, merry Christmas
I am receiving a new biyang OD-8 tomorrow. Does anyone know anything about this pedal personally? I had to purchase it for the price. It sounds good from what I hear on YouTube and is easy to get a great bluesy hollow tube lead tone as I am running it into a marshall valve combo. I'm really hoping this is going to be a great pedal. Looks great etc too which is always nice. I know price means nothing as it's all to do with sound. Not money. I have taken a boss DS-2 off my board in exchange for an OD-3. So what would you guys/gals say? It's very important to me to have a good clean tone with ever so slightly gritty (barely noticeable) and to have a great lead channel.
Thanks guys.

I find too much £500 over drives is it really worth it? Slap a weird name give it true bypass and people pay for it? Been reviewing tons and tons of over drives and I always seem to go back and check out the Boss OD-3
Has anyone else used this? I run two boosts simultaneously as my key tone which goes..
Mxr micro amp - blues driver and that's my clean / grit but for those tasty solos and lead lines I think the OD-3 will give me hat extra thick bite. I like the girth these pedals give me. A very John Frusciante sound.
Your thoughts?

Hi all,
i currently have in my chain a blues driver and a mxr micro amp, both use the boosts on together all the time. The mxr helps to boost my low output pickups seymour duncan ssl-1s both use as clean boosts and sounds nice and authentic. I have a DS-2 which i'm not too fond of as my gritty/solo lead playing is too high gain? Does anyone else feel they use a lot of boosts? Also which overdrive would be good? I like john mayer and John Frusciante of the red hot chili peppers.
Thanks!

Thanks for the reply bud. Thanks for your kind words. I find the wolverine speakers too muddy. Sounds good but i know i can get better out of the amp. I want every note to sing how i want it to sing. I will never just be "that's okay that will have to make do" kinda thing you know. haha

Hi all,
I recently purchased (second hand) a marshall tsl 602 valve combo. Would anyone recommend new valves as they haven't been changed since original purchase and that's 7 years. I will link a video to the sound and a picture of the amp. I just want to get the most out of this beauty. Also the speakers are wolverines and have heard a great deal about the vintage 30s? Will this help with my sound? Many thanks!

Thank you very much for your reply! Noted! I will certainly take note of the importance of a psu and the dangers surrounding that 'area'.
Thanks again for the comment about my sound. Taken me some time to acquire.

I have saved that link and going to make a tea and go through the whole site. I'm very particular about my tone as it's very personal for me to get the right sound/feel. I play in standard tuning with gauge 10s but was thinking about going E flat.

Hi all,
Thanks for taking a look at my post. I'm fairly new to the analogue effects world and i was wondering if anyone can give me any tips on setting up effects? and if i have the correct amount of power. Seems okay so far but i want to get the most out of my setup. I'm running a marshall tsl 602 valve combo through my effects and into my 2014 fender strat with ssl-1 pickups and modified pots and caps etc. I pulled all the guts out of her when i got her to get it more how i want it to sound. I fiddle with RHCP/Mayer but i really just write my own music as you can hear from the intro to the video i posted above. but any help on power supplies and good leads (does it really make a difference) would be amazing. First time posting online about this stuff please be nice xD
Many thanks guys/gals
