I would rather know that the money I was spending on an amp went into producing a quality amp and not an amp with a load of substandard gadgets within.
I definitely would prefer simple quality amp, then choose my own pedals etc to colour the sound!

I own a couple of guitars with them. I think they are common amongst any guitars with a floating tremelo system. Both guitars I own that have locking nuts do have the flloyd rose floating tremelo.
Because you can use the tremelo to such extremes, without the locking nut the tuning would suffer immensly. I can slacken the strings completely and it comes back to perfect tune.
I have found the system ver good though does add a bit of time restringing, especially when you first get used to it!
Ok well congratulations on your anniversary and I hope you both have a great time!

- never played with it myself though. Digitech is a good trusted brand so I would expect it to perform well. Especially for the cost!
And is the purpose of your trip just for a short sightseeing holiday?
Are you saying that you struggle to tap your foot to the beat when there is no backing?
Tying to rule by fear. This is a belief that many have. Things are not all they first seem. We are told what they want us to believe and not necessarily the truth!
Look forward to seeing the photos - how long will it take you to get there?
I go through different phases. Right now I play my acoustic 90% of the time. Then it will change and I will pay the electric 90% of the time..
I think it depends a lot on what I am trying to do at the time. If I am trying to learn to pay some Joe Satriani then I will be playing electric the whole way. If I am trying to write songs or play and sing for fun then it will be acoustic guitar!
I think you can certainly get some good deals doing it this way but you have to know what you are doing or be lucky!
If the only cheap component is the speaker then great but most likely there are other substandard components in as well that might not be so easy to identify and change.
I have never really owned such a product so I do not know for sure!
Both my cats have distinctly different personalities. They are brothers as well. I always find this really interesting as they don't say a lot but their characters still really shine through!
I think you will always hear similar licks but if they are identical then i can see why it would remove some of the musical magic!
Life without fast internet? I could not imagine it! I remember the days when we had to use only dial up. A 5 mb file would take a minimum of 15 minutes. Now it is under 5 seconds and this will only get faster!
Paypal can be a rel pain. They charge you a lot, they change their rules when they please and when something goes wrong, they simply take the money back for the transaction and you cannot speak to anyone who can help you.
This is something that new online businesses should be wary of. Fraud is very high online and if you supply something and the transaction turns out to be fraudulent, you are the one paying for it. I got stung myself for well over £1000 when I first started my business. It nearly prevented me from continuing.
I think I would be lost without my delay pedal for lead playing/solos. When I first got into lead playing I got this delay pedal and it opened up my whole style.
So yes, in some instances it can really open up your creativity and provide much inspiration and motivation for your guitar playing!
I have a glass slide but I have never really used it. I got it years ago, before I became more proficient at playing. I found that it was really difficult to use.
I might give it another go soon when I have time, as i do really like the sound a slide can make.
It always amazes me how people can put it on, and take it off again in the blink of an eye whilst still palying guitar continuously!
Yes I have version 5 as well. I use it only when I am trying to work out a faster passage to get the timing right. It is really useful for this.
I have two cats. They don't come inside in the day too much any more since we had the children!
They seem to know exactly when they have gone to bed as straight away the cat flap goes and in they come!
Actually this does look like a really good site. It is very similar to Guitar Pro in how it functions though all from your browser!
Love it!
This is where the action will really start! Do you have many people watching at the moment?
Thanks for this - I guess it is to the manuall for me to find out how to get these things loaded to give them a go!
Cheers
I'm sorry to those that received SPAM within their private messages. I will always do my best to prevent spam and so far I have been quite lucky with this newer forum platform.

Apart from the issue I have with getting tone at lower volumes I am happy with what I have.
Eventually I would like to own a Gibson Les Paul at some point though it is not top of the list of priorities.
I would also like a 12 string guitar a classical guitar and a slightly better bass guitar.
Within my Cubase I do not have the VST instruments section here. I have to load an instrument track I believe.
I do not believe that Cubase LE has a drum machine but I did invest in EZdrummer so I could see how I go with this!
Cheers for the advice.
I agree. Tab only tells part of the story. Often playing the right notes but the incorrect rhythm will make it sound like you are playing the wrong notes.
I don't get on well with reading music notation with playing guitar but it sure is helpful that it is there for timing purposes.
Often this is an advantage with purchased tab books - they have the tab and the music notation to give you a clearer picture.
Also Guitar Pro is another thing I use a lot. This does the same as tab books, showing both musical notation and tab but also has the benefit of the option of playing a midi file to the tab. This can be slowed down to really nail those faster parts. It also is a good indication of how accurate the tab is in the first place before investing a lot of time in learning a piece to find that it is wrong!
Yes no problem at all. Just shout!
